CdA organised a “Memorial Meeting” at BJ Community hall on 10.11.2012 for the legendary Bengali writer sunil Gangopadhyay who passed away on 23 October 2012. With many writers, celebrates and friends were presented their respect and flowers. Mrs Swat Gangopadhyay (wife of Sunil Gangopadhyay) was also present in this Memorial meeting. The founder director of CdA Ms Minoti Mukherjee said in her speech “in deep sorrow CdA Centre mourns Sunil Gangopadhyay’s sudden demise. He was to CdA the magic charm which has transformed us in overnight from Local to Global. He has in this way made himself immortal and perpetual to us. It is now our duty to presume his solemn memory in our heart and step with confidence towards the unknown future. We shall carry with us the flame of culture and creativity he lit for us in our heart and spread it from one to many. Our achievements are our final tribute that we would love to offer him before we bid him our last good bye.
