The founder and director of this Cucchiaio d’ Argento (CdA) Coaching centre is Mrs. Minoti Mukherjee.
She did her formal education at the Benaras Hindu University and Calcutta University, while imbibing from her parents that education of true moral values and good behavior, which later guided her during her whole life.
Married to an Italian architect, she spent 30 years in Europe, serving various organizations there, where she taught English to graduating students in number of cities and volunteered her time with several charitable NGOs.
In 1996, she came back to Kolkata and joined the Office of the Italian Consulate, till her recent retirement.
Mrs. Minoti Mukherjee felt on her life the deep impact of both, the Indian and the Western ways of life. She proudly represented her original Indian culture while abroad and, at the same time, learned to appreciate the better side of the Western civilization.
This unique situation developed in her an eager desire to reconcile those cultural differences, by becoming an instrument of exchange and understanding between these two cultures.
Her dreams have now materialized in the form of this Centre of Language and Culture, to which she intends to completely devote the rest of her life.
She has conceived the Centre as the best possible opportunity for learners of all ages and walks of life to come and learn the languages and the cultures of the East and the West, so they can realize that we all belong to the same human family and that our perceived differences are much less important than our essential unity.
